Play Die Reload
This Early Access title is the first Commercial Indie project by the developer Matt Dabrowski. An ambitious creation that aims to essentially give the player free reign in how they can tackle any situation or mission while also providing a randomly generated set of levels upon each run through, Streets of Rogue attempts and achieves things that others possibly haven’t even thought to try.
Unexplored is a wonderful little top down title from developer Ludomotion. On the surface it appears much like the vast majority of roguelite dungeoneering games but a little playtime begins to reveal it’s more charming elements and a lot more playtime finds you fully engaged in your quest. In a game where death comes suddenly and easily, you still feel a desire to push on and continue to delve deeper into the dungeon, exploring the different dungeon layouts that are generated each run and experiencing the different enemies that game may choose to throw at you during one run but hide from you the next. Your little character obtains new items, gains strength and encounters ever more enemies and traps as you progress in this deceptive little dungeoneering experience.
Captain Forever Remix is a light-hearted, 2D, space brawler with a vibrant style. You are essentially a girl pretending to be ‘Captain Forever’, a fictional TV show character, and you and your brother ‘King Kevin’ are partaking in an imaginary space battle. Your objective is to get from the first level to the end without dying. Each level comprises of an area of space that is filled with ships trying to blast you into many pieces. You begin with a level one ship and as you progress and kill higher leveled enemies your ship is presented with a variety of increasingly stronger ship parts to add to your build and better weapons to blast away your enemies.
Brigador is an effort from Stellar Jockey and Gausswerks that offers a retro style, real-time strategy combat experience. You are on the Human colony of Solo Nobre and your purpose is to cause destruction in the wake of the rise of a dictatorship on the colony, and aiding the rebelling faction.
Misfits Attic's game, Duskers, provides a unique and interesting experience. You are placed in command of a small fleet of salvage drones who make their home in the vast and empty chasm of space. The universe appears derelict and lifeless and you do not know why.
With the initial objective of navigating your spaceship to derelict ships floating in the void and investigating their remains for salvage, fuel and other useful bits and pieces, you set out on your first mission and begin to gather the things you need to survive. The wider aim of the game is to piece together how the universe became the way it is as you travel through the desolate cosmos.
